Why stay lower
Cheaper beds, a lift into the snow
Encamp and Canillo are year-round towns, with shops, restaurants and more apartments than the ski villages. In the morning you ride up by gondola or by the Funicamp and in the evening you come down to the valley. For families, it also means pharmacies and supermarkets a few steps away.
The drive is slightly shorter than to Soldeu, and on snowy days you skip the highest stretch of the CG-2.

The lifts
Funicamp and the Canillo gondola
The Funicamp is one of the longest cable cars in the Pyrenees: from Encamp it takes you to the heart of the ski area in about twenty minutes. The Canillo gondola links the town with the El Forn sector, with a beginners’ area at the top. Both run during the lift hours of the resort: check the official schedule for the first and last car.
Store skis in your accommodation or in the lockers at the lift stations. If you hire, there are shops next to both lifts.
Skis, boots and suitcases
What vehicle do I need?
Count everyone and every bag. Ski bags, snowboards and big suitcases are one item each; two cabin bags or two boot bags count as one. The boot fills up as you add them, and the price comes live from our booking engine.
