When to book

The season as a marked piste

Each stretch of the 2026-27 season has the colour of a piste marker: how hard it is to find a vehicle on those days. Black weeks book up first.

  • Quiet: book a week ahead
  • Normal: book two weeks ahead
  • Busy: book a month ahead
  • Peak: book as soon as you have your flights

Season dates from the resorts. Bank holidays from the official calendars; UK and French school holidays vary by area, so check yours.

Spring snow

Ski early, the higher the better

At the end of March the snow is best in the morning and on the higher slopes. Ordino Arcalís, with its base at 1,940 metres, and the Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa sectors of Grandvalira are the highest bases. Sunscreen and goggles matter more than ever.

Check the official snow report of your resort before you go; in a warm spring some lower runs may close earlier.

Wednesday up, Monday down

Holy Week traffic peaks on the Wednesday and Thursday going up and on Easter Monday coming back, when the border queues. Travel early in the morning if you can. The transfer price is fixed whatever the traffic. See also the season 2026-27 calendar and distances and drive times.

What vehicle do I need?

Count everyone and every bag. Ski bags, snowboards and big suitcases are one item each; two cabin bags or two boot bags count as one. The boot fills up as you add them, and the price comes live from our booking engine.
