Soldeu and El Tarter
The gondola from Soldeu village and the El Tarter lifts, with hotels a few minutes from the snow.

Over the Envalira pass or through its tunnel to the French side of the country, or to Grau Roig, a resort without a village.

Who each base suits
Soldeu and El Tarter
The classic choice: gondola in the village, hotels on the slope side and lively evenings. Soldeu and El Tarter.
Pas de la Casa
Apartments, après-ski and groups of friends, on the French side of Envalira. The longest drive. Pas de la Casa.
Grau Roig
A few hotels at the foot of the slopes, no village around them: quiet, first on the lifts. Grau Roig.
Canillo and Encamp
Real towns with shops and more apartments; ride up by gondola or Funicamp. Canillo and Encamp.
La Massana, Pal and Arinsal
Families and British groups, gentle wooded slopes in Pal and the shortest drive. Pal Arinsal.
Ordino and El Serrat
The quiet valley, open slopes and freeride terrain at the end of the road. Ordino Arcalís.

How to decide
Ski-in or a town with services?
- Beginners and small children: a base with a beginners’ area by the hotel saves carrying skis; see skiing with children.
- Mixed levels or a long week: Grandvalira has the most kilometres; the Andorra Pass also covers Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís; see lift passes.
- Evenings out: Soldeu and Pas de la Casa. Quiet nights: Grau Roig, El Serrat, Ransol.
- Budget: Encamp, Canillo and La Massana usually have more choice of apartments than the ski villages.
Arrival day
We drive to all of them
Whatever you choose, the transfer is the same: your driver meets you at the airport and stops at the door of your hotel or apartment. Give us the exact address when you book. We do not drive between two places inside Andorra, so if you change base mid-week, that leg needs a local operator.

What vehicle do I need?
Count everyone and every bag. Ski bags, snowboards and big suitcases are one item each; two cabin bags or two boot bags count as one. The boot fills up as you add them, and the price comes live from our booking engine.

What is the best area to stay in Andorra for skiing?
It depends on your group: Soldeu and El Tarter for the classic ski-in week, Pas de la Casa for groups and nightlife, La Massana and Arinsal for families and a shorter drive, Ordino and El Serrat for quiet and freeride.
Is it better to stay in Andorra la Vella and drive up each day?
It is possible, but every day you depend on a bus or a car and parking. Staying at a base, or in Encamp or Canillo with a lift from the town, saves that.
Can you move us from one resort to another inside Andorra?
No. Trips that start and end in Andorra are reserved for Andorran operators. We drive between Spain and Andorra.
