A realistic day
- Pick-up in Barcelona at about 6:00. La Massana is 2 h 50 away and Encamp 2 h 55 without traffic.
- On the slopes from about 9:00, when the lifts open.
- Last run before 16:30 so you are back at the base when the lifts close at 17:00.
- Return pick-up at about 17:30, in Barcelona around 20:30 if the border is quiet.

Choose the one with a lift from the town
For a single day, the best bases are those with a lift straight from the road: La Massana (gondola to Pal), Encamp (Funicamp) or Canillo (gondola). You skip the extra climb to the ski villages and get to the snow sooner. Buy the day pass online the day before so you do not queue: see lift passes.
Booking
Two transfers, one day
Book the outward transfer from Barcelona to your base and a second transfer from the base back to Barcelona at the time you choose. Each has its own fixed price per vehicle, shown live before you pay. For a group, the price per person drops with every seat.
